I have to say I was very impressed with all the submissions -- so much so that it made judging this very difficult. I would like to thank everyone who participated in this event and hopefully we will have a much larger turnout for hackcontest06! Here are my picks for the top three:

#1) Nick K Guitar Hack:

Nick displays his true hacker spirit by showing us that carrying around an extra pedal is unneeded. I enjoyed his ability to identify a problem, and create a solution that could easily be marketable. Good Job Nick, I think it came out GREAT.

#2) Stephen's Boom Pack Hack

Looks like a lot of work, and it is just straight out sweet. Stephen, you have some excellent fabrication skills and I look forward to seeing more of your hacks in the future!

#3) Chad's Dam Hack

I am always glad to see hackers putting their minds at work to solve social problems. I applaud Chad in taking the initiative in creating something to improve upon his surroundings.
